Transmission warning came on then vanished, do I trust it?

Two days ago a transmission fault message flashed up on the dash while I was crawling through traffic. It stayed for maybe ten seconds, then disappeared and hasn't come back since. I've driven about 200km since and the car feels normal, shifts are smooth, no noises, nothing. But I know from experience that these warnings don't just appear for fun and something is probably brewing underneath. I did a bit of digging and found https://gearboxrepairsharjah.ae/brands/rolls-royce/ while looking for someone who specifically handles these gearboxes, though I haven't called them yet because I'm not sure if I'm overreacting. Would a diagnostic scan even show a stored code after the light cleared, or do I need to wait for it to come back before anyone can actually see what's wrong? And has anyone here had an intermittent fault like this that turned out to be nothing versus something expensive?
